We arrived late Saturday night in downtown Nashville at 12^th & Porter for the Eliot Lipp show presented by Red Bull Music Academy Radio. Emanating from the haze and vibrant bursts of light were waves of bass from the mind of New Planet. More people quickly began to arrive in anticipation of the main act. As the crowd began to fill out, Playlow came to deliver an epic display of chest-thumping dubstep. By midnight, the show was at full wobble as Eliot Lipp arrived on-stage to deliver a mind-blowing display of electronic space funk. Strobe lights illuminated the sea of bass faces as massive tracks such as Flashlight and Beamrider pummeled the air. The visceral sound took its audience hostage. No one was safe from the bass.

Singer / Songwriter  Lauren Winans and I produced these shots for the promotion of her upcoming EP, due for release in the summer of 2012.  Lauren requested images that could be used in composites later, so we produced most of these images on the cyc-wall in my studio, located in Historic Cummins Station in downtown Nashville.  We featured products and fashion provided by her sponsors for use in album promotion materials.

This last minute vampire-esque fashion session was with friends Kenzie Gregg and Lakota Gordon.  We shot the session at a few downtown Nashville locations. We aimed to achieve a cold-winter fashion look that harkened back to the days of cold-war Russia. Kenzie Gregg is a wonderful make-up artist who provides make-up services for many of my headshot and music photography clients. Her talent really brought the photographs to the next level.  Kenzie’s professional hair and make-up has an extremely smooth finish that works well for all sorts of projects including actor headshots, fashion photography, high concept fashion, and live performance.
